B.A. in Francophone Studies and Translation

SCHOOL FEES: 335 000 FCFA. FOR THE FIRST YEAR. PAYABLE IN 8 INSTALLMENTS

Duration of studies: 3 years (6 semesters), 180 credits.

Objectives of the program

The objectives of the program are

To transmit a body of knowledge on the French-speaking world (French and French-speaking languages and literature, French and French-speaking cultures, linguistics) ;
Acquire knowledge and skills in translation.
Employment opportunities

Career in the fields of teaching (French-language literature and culture), cultural industries, translation; in the structures of the OIF.

Admission to the program

Eligible applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or GCE A Level, or equivalent. Admission is based on a file review.

Teaching and evaluation methods

The teachings are divided into two main blocks:

The core teachings that cover the ¾ of the program and the optional teachings that cover the ¼ of the program.

Evaluations include :

-Ongoing evaluations

-Written and oral exams

-Internships and internship reports

-End of semester exams

Graduation

The Bachelor’s degree will be delivered to the student who will have obtained 180 credits. For each subject, the grade for obtaining the credits granted is between 55 and 100%.
